Van Looy Group’s implementation services are aimed at putting the customer’s logistics plans into practice in an efficient and effective manner. The onsite works of the different parties are precisely coordinated, steered and evaluated. Time, cost and scope are monitored and reported in close collaboration with the customer. In order to completely unburden the customer, Van Looy Group devotedly performs the general contracting for the customer’s project.

Common elements in our implementation services


Construction management

In support of the project manager and the client, the implementation plans of the different contractors are consolidated and fitted to the project plan. Construction meetings, progress measurements and reporting are performed by the construction manager.

Project management

The project manager(s) is (are) responsible for the qualitative implementation of the project whereby cost, time and scope are closely tracked, reported and steered. Van Looy Group’s PMO ensures that best practices and tools are managed centrally and shared amongst its project managers.

Acceptance testing & validation

Acceptance testing and validation of the various work packages are performed according to predefined acceptance criteria. These are drafted by Van Looy Group together with the client and are focussed on material handling systems, technical utilities and construction.  

Go-live assistance

During commissioning and go-live there’s often a temporary need for additional resources to support change management. Van Looy Group supports their client in performing KPI tracking, coordinating stock moves, training and operational management.

General contracting

In order to unburden the client as much as possible, Van Looy Group often acts as a general contractor. Besides managerial simplification this often induces a higher leverage towards the contracting parties and more degrees of freedom in overall project planning.
